The Kentuckiana FileMaker Developers Group, founded in 2009 by Alan Bird of Universal Design and Johnathan Fletcher of Fletcher Data Consulting, has been a cornerstone of the FileMaker developer community for over a decade. Initially meeting in person, the group provided a vital forum for FileMaker enthusiasts in the Kentucky and Indiana region to connect, collaborate, and share expertise.

As technology advanced and circumstances evolved, the group transitioned seamlessly to virtual meetings via platforms like Zoom in 2020, adapting to the changing landscape while maintaining its commitment to fostering a vibrant community of developers.

Following this transition, Ron Glen Cates, known in the FileMaker community for his expertise and passion for the platform, assumed the role of host and co-facilitator. The group continues to thrive, providing valuable resources, support, and networking opportunities for both seasoned professionals and newcomers alike.
